Ah, the perfect way to see Yellowstone National Park: from the midst of a traffic jam. Who needs the choking congestion of taxis and city streets when you could trade it for the choking congestion of campers and sightseers on urban roads? While photographer J. Schmidt didn’t provide any context on what caused Yellowstone tourists to pull off the road and gawk in our last visit to the park in 1977, this time we know that the glimpse of bears and elk caused it.
