As part of the lead-up to the Ford Mustang’s 50th anniversary celebrations next year, Ford’s been releasing quite a bit of material, including video profile of the 1962 Ford Mustang I, the first concept car to carry that name. While the video tries (strains?) to draw a direct line between the Mustang I and the production Mustang, the mid-engine V-4 Mustang I actually had little in common with the pony car, and some attribute it more to inspiring the GT40. Still, an entertaining look at the concept car, now in the collection of The Henry Ford.
