Sullivan, Indiana, 1960s
Noticing all the street scenes we’ve been posting lately, Papafiesta sent in these two, snapped in his hometown of Sullivan, Indiana. Papa wrote:
The Red & White store was on the corner of North Court and Wall streets. That building now houses our fire and police station.
The parade scene was probably our Corn Festival held every year in September. That year the parade was on N. Court Street. The same Red & White store is in that shot too. That’s our local high school marching band…check out the majorettes!
