St. Albans, Vermont, 1966
Just up the road from yesterday’s shots in Swanton come this set of Northland Motors, a used car dealership and Esso station on Route 7 in St. Albans. They date to a month earlier than the Swanton photos, so presumably they were taken for the same reason: to document businesses in danger of being lost with the upcoming construction of the nowadays-nearby interstate. Too bad the photographer didn’t train his camera on the dealership and junkyard across the street, but thanks to the Vermont Landscape Change program, we’ve got plenty of Northland’s inventory to identify. What do you see here?
