In preparation for Spokane’s Expo ’74, the so-called smallest World’s Fair, the city transformed its downtown to provide a suitable location for the fair. The Washington State Digital Archives has a number of photos of that process, including these two of the parking lot that used to be where North Post Street and part of the park are now.
