So, You Want to Buy a Race Track?

Published by Mike on

Do you know someone who is always telling you how much better they could run a race track? Are you that person? Maybe you just want your own playground? Well, you’re in luck! Concord Speedway in North Carolina has just been listed for sale.

The price tag – a cool $3.2 Million.

Now, before you balk, realize that this includes not only the half-mile track, but also the quarter-mile which doubles as a fifth-mile. The historic venue has been in operation since 1956 and was converted to the current asphalt, tri-oval formation in 1982.

Here is the official listing on www.cityfeet.com

Speedway owners are ready to retire! Seeking NASCAR enthusiasts and investors that can take this track to the next level. Priced significantly below appraisal. Very RARE and UNIQUE zoning that allows for many recreational and entertainment activities (such as outdoor concerts) in addition to motorsports. Speedway includes 2 tracks, concessions, 14,000 SF rental building, VIP Suites seating 216 people, hospitality pavilion, playground, Speedway office building and Tech building. Many untapped revenues sources and surrounded by undeveloped land for possible future expansion and road courses.

In all seriousness… we’re happy to hear the track is continuing operations until a buyer is found. We hope someone with great intentions comes along and keeps the short-track racing tradition alive at Concord.
