Six Degrees of Automotive Separation – Stutz

We haven’t dug back into the annals of American automotive history for the Hemmings Six Degrees of Automotive Separation Challenge lately, and I believe it’s high time we do again. Thus, I propose Stutz.
Those of you playing along might recall we had Stutz as the subject of a Stutz-Corbitt challenge a few months back. This time, however, Stutz is the hound in our fox-and-hound format. Whoever comments first on this post gets to suggest a fox, and then everybody else gets to try to connect Stutz to the fox in six degrees or less. Whoever answers first gets to suggest a new fox, and so on.
As always, a degree of separation between two companies consists of one owning the other or one using the other’s parts.
UPDATE: andre roy was the first to provide a suggestion, with Austin.
UPDATE: Oops, I turn my back for 10 minutes and three answers come in at once. marmer used a people-based solution and in turn suggested Ford. Kit Foster, like marmer, found a solution through Auburn, and in turn suggested Apperson. And Dave found a solution through the Stutz revival and in turn suggested NSU. Consider any of those three for your next fox.
UPDATE: Even though I don’t normally step in to answer, I thought I’d thin the herd of suggested foxes a little bit, so I answered Apperson. Ford and NSU are still viable foxes, though.
