SIA Flashback – Super Charger
As much as Graham struggled to stay afloat during the 1930s, one can’t fault the company’s executives for inventiveness. They managed to persuade Continental to build engines to their specifications, they managed to get Reo to build bodies for them, and they even introduced superchargers to their cars, making forced induction relatively affordable. The result, as Arch Brown wrote for this driveReport in SIA #176, March 2000, was a decent car, certainly not one to lead the driver to believe the manufacturer of the car was struggling for its very existence.
