SIA Flashback – Savoir Faire: Plymouth’s ’63 Super Stock Savoy really knew how to do it!
It appears James Dietzler enjoyed tearing around New Jersey in the 426 Max Wedge-equipped 1963 Plymouth Savoy Super Stock that he photographed and wrote about for SIA #182, March 2001 – mashing the pedal on abandoned roads, surprising unsuspecting fellow motorists, and generally enjoying the horsepower on tap from a car that to the untrained eye seemed more like grandma’s Sunday special. We don’t get much history on the particular car that Dietzler drove, but we do get plenty of context about what exactly made these cars so special.
