SIA Flashback – Ray’s Roadster

Ray, in this case, isn’t the owner of the 1938 Dodge Brothers Series D-8 rumbleseat convertible that Arch Brown wrote up for SIA #175, January 2000. Rather, Ray is Ray Dietrich, the designer of said car, whose Art Deco touches gave it a flowing look that others would nevertheless come to deride as stubby. Brown took a spin behind the wheel of the completely restored convertible and reported back with his impressions.
