SIA Flashback – Plymouth Pride: Owners compare five prewar Plymouths on the back roads of Vermont
Much like Lentinello’s MG T-series comparison test from a few issues prior, Robert Gross’s prewar Plymouths comparison test for SIA #185, September 2001, brings together five Plymouths ranging in age from 1928 to 1941, then places each of the car’s owners in the seats of the other cars in the test to get their opinions about the cars, rating them in a number of categories, including styling, handling, performance, and ergonomics. While the comparison wasn’t a competition, the comments from the owners give pretty good insight into the advances Plymouth made over those 13 years.
