Take, for instance, the 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS that Arch Brown and Bud Juneau profiled for SIA #170, March 1999, which the original owner bought because his wife wanted their next new car to have bucket seats like their Corvair Monza. As for why another 800,000-plus people bought Impalas that year, Brown and Juneau explored the various reasons by taking this one for a spin and reporting their impressions.
