SIA Flashback – 1957 Buick Caballero: Gentleman’s Wagon

Though the 1957 Buicks got plenty of flak for their styling, one of two Buick models for that year that escaped the majority of the criticism was the Caballero (technically the Buick Century Riviera Caballero Estate Wagon) as Alex Meredith wrote in his profile of the still-highly stylized four-door-hardtop station wagon in SIA #147, May 1995. Meredith took one for a test drive and found it fairly lively for a chromemobile hardtop wagon.
