SIA Flashback – 1935 Plymouth: “A New Picture of Car Value”
As with most Arch Brown stories, it’s less the individual aspects of the car he’s writing about – in this case a 1935 Plymouth Deluxe rumbleseat coupe – than the context of the era that proves most intriguing. Reading between the lines, we can guess that Brown wasn’t much of a fan of most Plymouth products and that the restoration on this one certainly influenced Brown’s favorable judgement of it, but his familiarity with the era made it difficult for him to judge it too harshly or favorably.
