…Saab 93, circa late 1955 through mid-1960, though based on the Saab Project 92, which dates back to the Ursaab of 1947. That sort of stubby fastback rear, yes, but also the slab sides with a hint of bulbuousness that taper back toward shallow catwalks, the rear wheel cutouts, the straight-back trim, the small rear window, the angled-forward B-pillar – even the horizontal taillamps look the part.
Coincidence? Maybe. If not, somebody explain.
