In recognition of Arizona auction week, let’s hang around in Scottsdale another day with a couple photos from the Scottsdale Historical Society, shared through the Arizona Memory Project. Fittingly, both photos show aspects of Scottsdale’s shopping history: Above, we see the Pima Plaza shopping area on First Avenue, notable for being one of the first car-friendly shopping areas in Scottsdale; while below we see part of the Fifth Avenue arts, crafts and fashion shopping district.
