Scenes from Musclepalooza XX
Favorite Chevrolet, and best in show, went to this 1969 Chevrolet Chevells SS 396. Photos by author.
The 20th edition of Hemmings Musclepalooza went off without a hitch last Sunday, despite the threat of rain that loomed from late morning into the early afternoon. Dark clouds didn’t dim the enthusiasm of those present, and as usual, a wide variety of muscle cars from multiple generations were on hand for both exhibition and competition.
Among the most unusual cars present (and running on the track) was a Hemi-engined Cunningham, which took home the award for best engine. Best paint went to a 1965 Ford Mustang with a near-flawless white finish, while a pair of two-seat AMXs wrapped up the American Motors category. We’ll have more on the event in the coming days, but until we can sort our notes and photos from the weekend, enjoy our Musclepalooza XX gallery below.
