At first glance, the above photo, which we came across on the H.A.M.B., looks like it could have been taken in California, epicenter of the rod and custom scene in the 1960s, and jampacked with strip malls like we see in the background. But all of the chains that populated the strip mall – Reitman’s, Agnew-Surpass Shoes, Bata Shoes – we see a decidedly northern influence. Indeed, another H.A.M.B.er, rodncustomdreams, noted that this was a gathering of Saskatoon’s hot rod club, the Draggins, and pinpointed the location as the Grosvenor Park Mall, which we’re going to assume is now Grosvenor Park Centre. What do you see here?
