San Francisco, 1957

Back to the street scenes today, and back to the Charles Cushman collection. This time, we travel with Cushman to San Francisco’s Chinatown, specifically Broadway looking west, on a sunny day in April 1957. Again, we see the results of Cushman’s long lens, flattening the scene and bringing distant objects closer – perfect for trying to identify all those cars blocks down the road.
