San Bernardino, California, 1950s

Unless they renumbered the streets or had a leveling earthquake in San Bernardino, California, sometime in the last 60 years, something doesn’t quite make sense in this street scene we came across over on the USC Library’s online photo archive. It shows Third Street looking east – we confirmed that when we found out that the 535 Club was indeed located at 535 Third Street – but looking at that area today, we see a whole lotta nothing. Anyway, it was bustling back then. What do you see here?
