Salem, Oregon, 1956

Though Charles Cushman’s photos weren’t quite professional level, he always managed to evoke a mood and fix his scenes in time and place better than many other photographers. He also, thankfully, gave us all the details of the photos he took, so we know that he visited the Capitol in Salem, Oregon (one of many state capitol buildings he visited in his travels) on July 12, 1956, which should help a little in identifying some of the cars in the frame.
