As you might know, the NHRA has seven racing divisions for Sportsman. Our local is the Pacific Division also known as Division 7.
As you might know, the NHRA has seven racing divisions for Sportsman. Our local is the Pacific Division also known as Division 7. It has 16 member tracks on the West Coast that include favorites like the Auto Club Raceways at Pomona and Bakersfield, and smaller eighth-mile tracks like Barona in Lakeside, California. This banner is from 1971 that we found in the Car Craft archives. The logo has changed but, according to John Calvert, “It’s still the biggest game in the West.”
