Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 1973
While reader Mac Mackay normally sends us some excellent carspotting photos from his home port of Halifax, Nova Scotia, he recently sent us this one from another hub – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Specifically, he recalls taking the photo in May 1973 from the rotunda at Pittsburgh’s union station, overlooking Liberty Avenue. “I was taking a picture of a nice big Kenworth with a float trailer, and thanks to a fixed 50mm lens wasn’t able to zoom in – so – a parking lot full of cars,” he wrote. Perfect. So what do you see here?
