Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 1963

Reader John Hiltz of Arlington, Virginia, has a number of photos that his father, Robert, took that would work well with our carspotting series, starting with this one, which he tells us his father took in August 1963 at the corner of Market Street and North Front Street in Philadelphia, looking east across the Delaware River toward Camden, New Jersey. It’s almost like Robert knew we’d be waiting for just such a scene more than half a century later. What do you see here?
