Art Fink’s a-Falcon-in-every-shot hypothesis seems to work well for Sixties street scenes, but doesn’t seem to hold up well for the Seventies. We need a new Ubiquitous Car for the Disco Decade, and I think this street scene portraying Germantown Avenue in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood in January 1977, courtesy Temple University’s archives, contains a very good candidate for that position. What do you see here?
