Not the moon, 1951

If you will, please, ignore the men in spacesuits in front of the cars. They’re just promoting the Robert A. Heinlein-written 1950 film “Destination Moon” in 1951, presumably for an overseas release. But where? That’s where the cars in the background – and the background itself – should come into play. What do you see here, and where do you suppose the photo was taken?
