New York City, 1965

I wouldn’t at all describe the October 1965 photo of Broadway looking south from right around 49th Street in New York City as low-key. There’s plenty of bustle, plenty of skyscrapers, plenty of bright lights. But compared to the modern-day view of the same stretch of the city, the view captured by cloud-cuckoo-land could almost qualify as quaint. What do you see here?
