Manhattan often seems timeless, but it’s not so timeless that we can figure out where exactly on South Street Charles Cushman stood when he took this photo in June 1941. Wherever he stood, though, we’re certain that FDR Drive overshadows it now. Carspotters, what do you see here? City people, where do you suppose this was taken?
