About the only thing we can see left standing (at least on Google Street View) from this November 1954 photo of Howard Avenue and South Peters Street in New Orleans, which we came across on the Historic New Orleans Collection, is that Gulf Engineering Co. building, though the company and its slogan (“Service, Not Promises”) are still around today. What do you see here?
