Public transportation makes sense in many ways, but it also isn’t for everybody, a fact that this photo from the UCLA Library’s digital collections makes obvious. Taken during the inauguration of the El Monte-Los Angeles bus line on the San Bernardino Freeway (specifically looking east on the 10 between the Garfield Avenue and New Avenue exits), the photo not only gives the busspotters out there an opportunity to show off their knowledge, but also presents plenty of stacked traffic for the carspotters. What do you see here?
