Los Angeles, 1961

For some unknown reason, on April 26, 1961, an unknown photographer stationed himself along First Street in Los Angeles and took more than a dozen particularly sharp photos of the traffic as it whisked by. Fifty years later, 18 of those photos made it to the USC Digital Library, and we thought these three – taken looking northwest toward the 110 overpass – were worth highlighting.
