May on 13th Street in Lincoln, Nebraska, was the setting for one of our previous carspotting exercises, using a photo that John Vachon shot in 1942. Twenty-one years later, Charles Cushman stood on 13th – possibly not far from where Vachon stood, though the long lens that Cushman used, combined with the changes along that street in the last half century, makes it difficult to determine exactly where Cushman stood – and snapped this photo.
