LaGrange, Illinois, 1967
While David Wilson’s fairly prolific Flickr stream focuses mainly on streetcars, trains, and other forms of public transportation from all around the country, we did find a few carspotting photos nestled in among them, such as this September 1967 picture of the LaGrange Shopping Center in LaGrange, Illinois, on the outskirts of Chicago. That’s a long walk to the Jewel store from where all these folks parked; perhaps there’s another store (or, given Wilson’s favorite subject, a train station – an Amtrak line does still pass through the town) to his back.
