Inglewood, California, 1977

While researching Hollywood Park Racetrack after coming across the above photo on the Online Archive of California, we happened to see that this is the last year the Inglewood, California, horse racing track will be open. Built in 1938, it’ll close at the end of the season to make way for housing. In 1977, however, there appeared to be no concerns about closing nor a shortage of bettors. What do you see here?
