Inglewood, California, 1962

According to the Online Archive of California, where we found the above photo of the shopping center on the northeast corner of Crenshaw Boulevard and Imperial Highway in Inglewood, California, the photo was taken on Monday, June 4, 1962, and because OAC doesn’t give a reason for the photo or any context, we’re going to have to make something up. Was this parking lot a crime scene? Did aliens land here? Is time travel only possible to places committed to film, and the photographer just wanted to have an anchor in time to which he could return over and over again? Or did he really like the cars that populated the photo?
