Hugo, Oklahoma, 1962

Reader and Corvette collector Michael Brown might live in Texas today, but he grew up in the town of Hugo, Oklahoma, and shared with us this photo of Hugo’s South Broadway Street, looking north, with 1962 written on the back. “That looks about right, though the newest car I see is a ’58 Chevy,” he wrote. “That too, might be about right.  Not too many people in Hugo had new cars back then…ha!” What do you see here?
