This controversial roadster-pickup was built expressly to win the Oakland Roadster Show Sweepstakes. Richard chose a ’29 Ford pickup as the basic ingredient for his $17,000 hot rod. Interior is finished in black velvet and whitew naugahyde with gold beading. The dash is of polished aluminum and has been filled with ’57 corvette gauges.
The ’54 Dodge engine uses a Hebert roller cam kit, 11.5:1 Jahns pistons, polished heads plus a Hillborn fuel injection system and Vertex magneto.
