Homegrown Heroes – 1965 and 1967 Ford Mustang

A look at two more Homegrown Heroes: A 1965 and 1967 Ford Mustang
Michael Hall ’65 Mustang
I put myself through college helping other people restore their Mustangs, but I never had one of my own until after my career was well established. A few years after we married, Terri and I didn’t have a whole lot of money, but we both had a love for cars. A neighbor named John Gabbard allowed us to show his ’69 Firebird convertible, and we must have entered about 50 shows all over Kentucky and Virginia. We had an awesome time and were always thrilled to come home with a “win,” but no matter how well we placed, there was always a sense that something was lacking. I wanted to show a Mustang, and my desire increased with every car show I entered.
