While researching our recent article on the 40th anniversary of the Chevette, we came across plenty of crash videos featuring said subcompact on YouTube, but we also came across this Dodge-created comparison video from 1977 pitting the Colt against the Datsun B210, the Chevette and Vega, and the Ford Pinto – in numbers and features only. Interestingly, nowhere does the video mention the Colt’s Mitsubishi origins.

* We’ve had this video of the last day at the Kenosha assembly plant in our bookmarks for quite some time, and we’ve since forgotten how we came across it, but it’s interesting nonetheless to see how all those former AMC line workers were spending their latter days at the plant.

* Finally, director William Friedkin reportedly thought the chase scene in his 1985 film “To Live and Die in L.A.” was better than the one in “The French Connection,” otherwise he wouldn’t have included it.
