Hemmings Finds of the Day – 1934 Packard and 1937 Packard

Another couple from RM’s Monterey auction, both Packards, though Packards you probably haven’t seen before. First, this 1937 Packard 120, converted into a pickup. The conversion is very well done, leading one to believe it’s a service truck, similar to the Lincoln we saw a couple weeks ago. RM’s description, however, doesn’t tell us anything about its origins:

Model 138CD. 120 bhp, 282 cu. in. L-head inline eight-cylinder engine, three-speed manual transmission, coil spring independent front suspension, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes.

Next, the Myth, a wild 1934 Packard, built by Frank Roxas with a Packard V-12 and an all-steel body built by Scott and Dave Knight. It made a fairly big splash at the Detroit Autorama earlier this year, but I haven’t seen much of it since. All we know from the RM description so far is that it’s going up with no reserve.
