Hemmings Find of the Day – 1979 Jeep CJ-7

Published by Mike on

Seriously, who keeps a CJ-7 this nice? If any vehicle out there begs to be used hard and never treated with kid gloves, it’s a Jeep CJ. Not that we’re complaining that this 1979 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade for sale on Hemmings.com has been pampered and hardly driven and looks like it just came off the showroom floor. From the seller’s description:

This is one of the nicest “All Original” CJ-7 Jeeps on the planet. It is a 1979 V-8 Quadra-Trac Four Wheel Drive Hardtop with Automatic Transmission. It has just over 34,000 documented miles. This is a Levis edition Jeep with the Levis interior package. This Jeep had NO RUST when the restoration was begun and most of the paint you see is original. There were a few wear marks on the doors, door sills and one fender that were blended but that’s it! It features the original interior, with no modifications. It has the original Goodyear Tracker A/T Spare Tire, and brand new Goodyear Radials with the same aspect ratio and width as the original tires. Wheels have been completely stripped and repainted, New Vinyl Graphics installed, lots of new seals/rubber/gaskets, and detailed undercarriage and engine compartment. The only thing missing from the factory on this Jeep is the Heat Riser system for the emission control. The engine was rebuilt to factory specs and has only break-in miles. She runs and drives like a brand new one. This Jeep is a 2 or a High 3 and is ready to drive/show/display. Since completed in 2011, it has been driven sparingly. We have all the receipts and documents on this one.
