Hemmings Find of the Day – 1979 Isuzu 117XG
True, whoever buys this 1979 Isuzu 117XG sport coupe for sale on Hemmings.com is only likely to see another one here in the States in a plate glass window reflection, but it’s got more than just the never-seen-here aspect going for it: Not only is it rather well equipped from the factory with a five-speed, double-overhead-camshaft four-cylinder, and electronic fuel injection, it also appears largely original and unrestored. From the seller’s description:
Original factory color white, original interior is complete and having never been replaced. Factory original glass, with original windshield in amazing condition. Right hand drive, 5 speed gearbox, factory A/C. DOHC with L-jetronic electronic fuel injection.

The Isuzu 117 is among the first Japanese cars to offer both DOHC and electronic fuel injection to be offered as standard equipment. Originally designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Ital Design fame. This Isuzu 117-XG series 3 righthand drive fastback coupe is a prime example of a rare Japanese four seat fastback, seldom seen in this condition.
As the photos will reflect, the dash top has three cracks. In addition, the A/C is complete and intact, but has a leak in the system.
