Hemmings Find of the Day – 1979 Honda Civic CVCC station wagon
While it looks as clean as a fresh restoration, this 1979 Honda Civic CVCC station wagon for sale on Hemmings.com has apparently been kept untouched and in pristine shape for 35 years. The car’s single owner obviously cherished it – after all, he or she loaded it up when it was new – even though they put less than 9,000 miles on it. Hard to imagine there being a cleaner, lower-mileage example out there; also hard to imagine that any buyer will be pressing this car into daily driver service. From the seller’s description:
Silver blue with blue interior, 4 door hatchback wagon, One owner from brand new, Only 8,900 actual miles from new, Original paint, Original tires, The only parts of the car that are not from 1979 are the battery and a new slave cylinder (I have the originals of both), Hondamatic transmission (automatic), Rear defroster, Heater, Chrome luggage rack, Deluxe hood with air scoops, AM/FM radio with 8 track player, An absolute survivor, Runs and drives excellent, All of the lights and guages work properly, Still has the factory installed paper on the driver’s sun visor, Original owner’s manual.
