Hemmings Find of the Day – 1973 AMC Javelin

While AMXs almost always steal the lion’s share of attention away from Javelins, this particular 1973 AMC Javelin for sale on Hemmings.com has a few things going for it, among them the Z-code 401 and the Pierre Cardin interior, not to mention the excellent shape it’s still in. It’s not original, and it probably won’t win as many awards as an AMX would, but there are still plenty of people who wouldn’t turn their noses up at it. From the seller’s description:

I am very proud of this car, and have taken great care of it. Only 4152 Cardin Javelins were produced, and this is one of the only ones left. My family had three Javelins, a ’68, a ’73 and a ’74, throughout the 1970′s and early 1980′s, so when I found this one in 2006 I was thrilled. But I don’t have the time to enjoy it these days, so it’s time for someone else to enjoy it.
