Hemmings Find of the Day – 1971 Jeepster Commando SC-1
Unlike, say, a SC/Rambler or a Rebel Machine, the Hurst-built SC1 version of the Jeepster didn’t rely on a special engine to differentiate itself from other Jeepsters, which is why it’s not that big of a deal that this 1971 Jeepster Commando SC-1 for sale on Hemmings.com has undergone an engine transplant while it retains all of its Hurst-installed pieces. From the seller’s description:
This Jeepster has 3,300 miles since a frame off restoration. No expense was spared with this restoration and everything was refinished and painted. This Jeepster was upgraded with safety and convenience in mind that make it a joy to drive.
