Hemmings Find of the Day – 1971 Bizzarrini GT Targa

Published by Mike on

While every Bizzarrini is a remarkable car, this 1971 Bizzarrini GT for sale on Hemmings.com features a whole boatload of remarkability, starting with its origins in the years after Bizzarrini quit building cars and continuing with its Lamborghini V-12 instead of a Chevrolet V-8. From the seller’s description:

built on a Lamborghini 400GT chassis (Jarama). This one-off creation was constructed by former Bizzarrini factory worker/protoge Giancarlo Reali in Livorno Italy. The body was left over from the factory shut-down and later placed on the lambo chassis. Early work coordinated with Giotto. Full Lamborghini drivetrain (the lambo v12 was designed by Giotto). Giancarlo converted the car into a targa. Unique car with an interesting history ready for a new owner who will appreciate the car for what it is and can take it to the next level of refinement.
