Just when you thought all remnants of the Seventies Street Freak culture had been wiped out by the rush to restore muscle cars in later decades, along comes this 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 for sale on Hemmings.com, still wearing its killer mudflap-girl-inspired fade paint and a couple of five-spokes. We say put the 428 back in, jack up the rear with air shocks, leave the paint exactly like it is, and rock out to Sabbath on the 8-track. From the seller’s description:

1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 “R code” 428c, auto, ps, pb, project car. Car has been stored over 25 years, 15 of those I have owned it. Car is very solid, mostly rust free, except trunk floor. Car is mostly complete, ps. was all missing when I got the car. Engine is completely rebuilt, done right, heads are correct as far as I can tell, block looks like a factory warranty replacement. Transmission is rebuilt, has correct tailshaft housing. All new: brake system, springs, suspension, & steering linkage. Most parts installed, some still in boxes. No Marti report, but I do have a letter from Ford with a breakdown of the car, & options.
