Maybe it’s their do-everything practicality, or their still-affordable pricing, but wagons like this three-row 1969 Plymouth Sport Satellite, for sale on Hemmings.com, have an undeniable road-trip appeal. The 318 V-8 beneath the hood likely won’t win any stoplight throw-downs, but its 230-horsepower should prove sufficient for weekend runs to the warehouse store or home center; besides, given the car’s Road Runner and GTX roots, shoehorning a 383 or 440 beneath the fenders is possible, if not particularly cost-effective.
