Here’s what you need to know about this 1966 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport, for sale on Hemmings.com: It’s got a built 427 V-8 that dyno-tested at 434 horsepower, it gets power to the ground via a 12-bolt Positraction rear with 3.73:1 gears and heavy-duty everything, and it isn’t likely you could build a comparable example for the asking price, unless you already had a garage full of Chevy performance parts. It isn’t an unrestored, number-matching survivor, and it’s not an “investment grade” collector car, but that’s entirely beside the point.
