Hemmings Find of the Day – 1965 Rambler Ambassador 990 convertible
It’s probably a good thing that AMC’s Gen I V-8 engine never developed much of a reputation among hot rodders, otherwise we’d likely have seen far more Classics and Ambassadors parted out so their engines could go on to power something else, and we may very well not be seeing this well-kept and once-restored 327-powered 1965 Rambler Ambassador 990 convertible for sale on Hemmings.com today. From the seller’s description:
one of only 3,499 made in 1965. Very good condition, restored in 1988. Purshased from second owner in 1996, always garaged, never driven in winter, original owner’s manual and records. Just over 60,000 miles, no rust, top in great shape as is rear window, minor interior wear, drives like a dream. Great parade car, 327 V8, original wheel spinners
